2nd Annual AALA Conference

May 1 & 2, 2015

Theme: Assessing English Language Ability: Issues and Trends

 

As the theme is broad, we are interested in abstracts on the following sub-themes:

  • assessment practices (such as classroom and large-scale assessment; teacher-developed and professional-staff developed),

  • qualities of assessments and assessment practices (such as validation, consistency, fairness, consequences, etc.), and

  • new concerns (such as computer-based assessments, automated scoring and automated feedback)

 

Deadline: January 20, 2015

Decisions: February 15, 2015

 

Abstracts are invited in the following three categories:

 

Papers (30 minutes duration): conceptual or empirical research

Posters (from independent researchers, students, faculty) about new tests, developments, procedures, or ideas

Posters (from professional assessment agencies – universities, non-profit or commercial organizations) about new tests, developments, procedures or ideas

 

Abstracts should not be more than 350 words (including references) in single space and on one page submitted as an attachment without your name or affiliation.
